Driver-Mechanic

Overview

The "Perun" Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The unit's soldiers have been carrying out combat missions since June 2023 in the hottest sectors of the Donetsk and Luhansk directions — in the Serebrianske forest, Bakhmut, and Chasiv Yar — and since May 2024, in the Kharkiv region. The battalion is currently one of the most effective "unmanned" units in the Ground Forces.

Responsibilities:

• safe, responsible driving in compliance with traffic rules and safety requirements
• checking the technical condition of vehicles and their timely maintenance
• preparing for a trip: analyzing the route, checking the vehicle's readiness for departure
• maintaining the vehicle in field conditions and diagnosing possible malfunctions

Requirements:

• driver's license category B, C and above
• relevant education in the field
• ability to quickly resolve technical problems in field conditions
• readiness to perform tasks in the area where combat operations are conducted
• no alcohol or drug dependency

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• specialized training
• leave in accordance with current legislation
• full provision of necessary gear and equipment
