Tank Gunner

Overview

The 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh is a military unit of the mechanized forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• performing navigation and targeting functions as part of a tank platoon
• organizing and monitoring the movement of tanks during combat
• monitoring the battlefield situation and transmitting important information to commanders
• aiming the tank's weapon at the target and firing
• continuous maintenance of weapons, sighting and observation devices ready for combat use
• inspecting, preparing ammunition for firing, and loading it
• delivering accurate fire and destroying detected targets on the tank commander's order or independently

Requirements:

• age from 18
• readiness to learn
• high level of military discipline and responsibility
• ability to quickly make decisions in stressful situations
• knowledge of the operating principles of tanks and military equipment (basic, with the possibility of further training)
• confident communication skills
• good physical fitness

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on place of service
• social benefits in accordance with current legislation: annual leave — 30 calendar days, leave for family circumstances — up to 10 calendar days per year, medical care
• social and legal protection guarantees for servicemen and their family members
• provision of all necessary supplies and equipment, full meals
• annual monetary wellness assistance
