Tank Commander

Overview

The 118th Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade takes an active part in combat operations in southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• skillfully commanding the crew in combat and being responsible for accomplishing the assigned task
• zeroing and sighting-in weapons, driving the tank, and firing accurately from the tank's weapons
• orientation in any terrain using navigation equipment and topographic maps
• keeping communication equipment in serviceable condition and ensuring reliable communication with the platoon commander
• keeping the tank and weapons in serviceable condition, organizing maintenance, and organizing repair in case of damage

Requirements:

• age from 18
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• physical endurance and readiness to work in difficult conditions
• military rank - starting from junior sergeant
• knowledge of combat tactics and the capabilities and methods of employing a tank in various types of combat

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the performance of combat tasks
• provision of uniforms, personal protective equipment, and full meals
• guidance during the Military Medical Commission stage at the Regional TCC, ensuring enlistment in the relevant unit
• social protection and guaranteed insurance
• leave in accordance with current legislation
• training both in Ukraine and abroad
