Mortar Commander

Overview

The 118th Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade takes an active part in combat operations in southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• leading a team of 4 people, monitoring the mortar's and ammunition's readiness for combat use
• organizing and monitoring subordinates' work, including maintaining the mortar, ammunition, engineering equipment, and camouflage
• timely and high-quality preparation of the crew for firing
• maintaining documentation: planning, accounting, reporting
• cooperating with the battery officer, carrying out their orders, instructions, and directives
• fostering communication within the team

Requirements:

• age from 18
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• ability to establish communication within a team and make management decisions
• maintaining proper chain of command in communication with superiors

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the performance of combat tasks
• provision of uniforms, personal protective equipment, and full meals
• guidance during the Military Medical Commission stage at the Regional TCC, ensuring enlistment in the relevant unit
• social protection and guaranteed insurance
• leave in accordance with current legislation
• training both in Ukraine and abroad
