EW Operator

Overview

The 422nd Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion "Luftwaffe" has been carrying out missions in the Zaporizhzhia sector since July 2024 to this day, conducting aerial reconnaissance, correcting artillery fire, and striking enemy forces with strike UAVs. The unit is commanded by Captain Mykola Kolesnyk.

Responsibilities:

• promptly using direction-finding equipment to detect and locate enemy radio-electronic signals and UAVs
• using EW equipment to jam enemy communication equipment, UAVs, as well as the enemy's radar and other electronic systems
• processing direction-finding and EW data, transmitting it to command posts for further processing and mission execution
• analyzing the electronic warfare situation on the battlefield and ensuring information superiority
• training units to work with EW systems and direction-finding equipment, maintaining a high level of combat readiness
• maintaining and calibrating direction-finding and EW equipment, ensuring uninterrupted equipment operation
• compliance with military discipline and execution of combat orders
• compliance with internal rules and safety instructions

Requirements:

• education in a specialty related to radio engineering or software
• ability to work with modern technical devices for detecting and jamming enemy communications and UAVs
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• no alcohol or drug dependency, responsibility and punctuality

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 hryvnias + additional monetary reward from 30,000 to 100,000 hryvnias based on task performance and combat orders
• the opportunity for service advancement (sergeant and officer courses)
• military provisions and social guarantees in accordance with legislation
• possibility of transferring current servicemen
