Combat Medic

Overview

The 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa is a military formation of the mechanized forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade was formed in 2014 and took part in the war in eastern Ukraine as part of the ATO/JFO forces. The vacancy involves service in the medical company. This is the hospital-level tier of medical care. The medical company has all the necessary equipment to provide professional care, along with a team of like-minded and motivated specialists in their field.

Responsibilities:

• providing first pre-medical aid to personnel in the active combat zone
• providing ongoing aid to the wounded
• evacuation of the wounded, escort to the stabilization point
• monitoring personnel's health and keeping records of sick servicemen
• regular tactical medicine and emergency aid classes with personnel

Requirements:

• medical education will be an advantage
• fitness for military service
• age from 18
• physical and psychological endurance
• readiness to work in the combat zone and live in difficult everyday conditions (shift-based work, rotations)
• stress resilience, attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to learn quickly
• willingness to acquire and apply knowledge of the fundamentals of tactical medicine and first aid will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 55,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks performed and place of service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen
• guidance during the Regional TCC and Military Medical Commission stage, ensuring enlistment in the medical company of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade
• provision of gear and medical supplies
• social protection and free treatment at military healthcare facilities
