Mortarman

Overview

The 2nd Mechanized Battalion K-2, whose combat footage you may have seen many times on social media, is part of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. In December 2024, Major Vladyslav Puzikov became the unit's commander. With the start of the full-scale invasion, K-2 fighters fought in Marinka, Krasnohorivka, and the Siversk-Soledar sector.

Responsibilities:

• deploying, packing up, and aiming the mortar unit
• working with 82mm and 120mm mortars and other types of foreign-made weapons
• destroying and suppressing enemy personnel
• destroying enemy firing positions, shelters, and dugouts
• clearly carrying out the unit commander's tasks

Requirements:

• experience working with mortar systems or willingness to learn quickly
• fitness for service by state of health and moral qualities
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance
• abstinence from alcohol and psychotropic substances
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• combat experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• guidance throughout the mobilization process
• mandatory basic combined-arms training for civilians
• service in the combat zone
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the performance of combat tasks and orders
