Mortar Commander

Overview

The 142nd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed in early 2023 in Kharkiv region. If you are an experienced specialist willing to share your knowledge with less experienced brothers-in-arms, or conversely, lack sufficient experience but are motivated, responsible, and open to learning, join the 142nd Brigade.

Responsibilities:

• commanding personnel and maintaining the unit's motivation
• monitoring compliance with military discipline and the state of discipline in the unit
• maintaining the squad's material assets and weapons in proper condition
• monitoring the unit's morale and psychological state
• directing mortar fire during combat operations
• carrying out command's orders regarding fire training and support for the unit

Requirements:

• age from 18
• fitness for military service in combat units by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• military service experience and sergeant rank
• knowledge of the operating principles of mortars and the basics of firing
• good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• discipline and self-control
• desire to constantly learn and improve one's skills
• readiness to perform tasks in the combat operations area
• ability to work under conditions of increased physical and psychological strain
• ability to quickly adapt to a situation and make sound decisions

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 24,000 to 54,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
