Deputy Company Commander for Morale and Psychological Support

Overview

The 5th Separate Rifle Battalion is a military formation within the 118th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The battalion was formed on March 3, 2022, in the city of Uzhhorod. The unit fought its first battle in April 2022 in the Luhansk region, where, as part of the Defense Forces, it held back the enemy's advance on Severodonetsk and Lysychansk. After restoring its combat capability, the battalion returned to carrying out combat missions. The battalion's history will always include the defense of the Chernihiv region's border area, the Avdiivka defensive operation, and the battles for Robotyne in the southern sector.

Responsibilities:

• developing and adjusting the company's class schedule, planning and conducting psychological support and morale and psychological support measures
• evaluating the moral-psychological state of company personnel
• psychological preparation of personnel and organizing the provision of first psychological aid
• assisting the company commander in building unit cohesion, improving the leadership qualities of officers and sergeants
• implementing effective internal communication, taking measures to prevent conflicts and maintain a healthy moral and psychological climate in the unit
• participating in disciplinary and award initiatives, organizing cultural and recreational activities for personnel

Requirements:

• higher education in psychology or related fields
• officer's rank
• readiness to work in the combat zone
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• communication skills and ability to cooperate with different people
• stress resilience

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• full provision of uniform and all due gear according to standards
• guaranteed annual leave of 30 calendar days + additional 10 days for family circumstances

• monetary allowance from 57,000 to 157,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
