Sapper
Overview
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign has been defending Ukraine since the very start of the russian aggression. In 2014, units of the brigade advanced into Donetsk region to cover the state border.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the brigade defended Odesa and part of Mykolaiv region. From August 2022, the brigade played a key role in the offensive operation to liberate Kherson and was among the first to enter the city. Since early December 2022 and to this day, the brigade has been carrying out combat missions in the Bakhmut sector, destroying russian army personnel and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- participating in engineering work, setting up and clearing obstacles
- demining territories and objects, detecting and neutralizing explosive devices, mines, and other hazardous objects
- responsibility for locating, clearing, and neutralizing explosives, conducting reconnaissance of territory that may be mined
- using special equipment and tools to carry out work
- maintaining documentation on work performed
- training service members in engineering preparation
- compliance with safety and occupational health requirements
Requirements:
- fitness for military service in combat units by state of health
- knowledge of safety rules and standards when working with explosive materials and ammunition
- readiness for possible work without days off
- knowledge of reconnaissance and demining methods and techniques
- ability to work with various types of explosive devices
- readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
- ability to work both in a team and independently
- desire to constantly learn and improve one's skills
- ability to quickly adapt to a situation and make sound decisions
- organizational skills, responsibility, stress resilience, discipline
- experience in a similar position will be an advantage, but it is not mandatory
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent

- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and place of service
