Overview
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign has been defending Ukraine since the very start of the russian aggression. In 2014, units of the brigade advanced into Donetsk region to cover the state border.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the brigade defended Odesa and part of Mykolaiv region. From August 2022, the brigade played a key role in the offensive operation to liberate Kherson and was among the first to enter the city. Since early December 2022 and to this day, the brigade has been carrying out combat missions in the Bakhmut sector, destroying russian army personnel and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- conducting reconnaissance patrols to gather information about the enemy, terrain features, and movement routes
- analyzing received information to identify potential threats and opportunities
- transmitting reconnaissance information to the command staff for operational decision-making
- training, acquiring, and maintaining a high level of physical, fire, and professional training
- continuous improvement of skills, both independently and at training centers
Requirements:
- fitness for military service in combat units by state of health
- an inclination to learn and self-improve
- basic proficiency in foreign languages will be an advantage
- an active sporting lifestyle or physical fitness training (any level)
- ability to work both in a team and independently
- ability to endure difficult living and service conditions
- desire to constantly learn and improve one's skills
- ability to quickly adapt to new conditions and make sound decisions
- organizational skills, responsibility, stress resilience, discipline
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent

- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and place of service
- guaranteed annual wellness payment equal to one month's monetary allowance
