UAS Squad Leader
Overview
The 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign has been defending Ukraine since the very start of the russian aggression. In 2014, units of the brigade advanced into Donetsk region to cover the state border.
From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the brigade defended Odesa and part of Mykolaiv region. From August 2022, the brigade played a key role in the offensive operation to liberate Kherson and was among the first to enter the city. Since early December 2022 and to this day, the brigade has been carrying out combat missions in the Bakhmut sector, destroying russian army personnel and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- organizing the unmanned aircraft systems squad's work
- carrying out combat missions as part of the unit
- developing and implementing tactical plans in cooperation with the company commander
- coordinating crew members' actions for effective task completion
- supporting and developing team spirit and cohesion in the squad
- compliance with the requirements of the regulations, military discipline, and safety standards
- ensuring a high level of training and preparation of squad members
- compliance with instructions and requirements for the safety and effectiveness of carrying out combat missions
Requirements:
- readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
- understanding of the operating principles of unmanned systems (reconnaissance drones, kamikaze drones, strike UAV complexes)
- ability to coordinate a team's work under stress and combat situations
- responsibility, organization, and stress resilience
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent

- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 190,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and place of service
- guaranteed annual wellness payment equal to one month's monetary allowance
- guaranteed annual leave of up to 30 calendar days + additional leave of up to 10 days for family circumstances
