Chemical Defense Specialist

Overview

The 151st Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This vacancy is for service in the CBRN protection section.

Responsibilities:

• conducting radiation, chemical, and biological reconnaissance
• detecting, analyzing, and identifying hazardous substances
• organizing and carrying out RCB threat protection measures
• preparing and using specialized individual and collective protective equipment
• decontamination, degassing, and disinfection of territories, equipment, and gear
• maintaining accounting and reporting on the results of activities conducted

Requirements:

• age from 18
• motivation to learn and dedication to service
• readiness to perform tasks in difficult conditions
• knowledge of the basics of chemistry, biology, and physics (basic training)
• ability to work with substance-analysis equipment
• high level of discipline, attentiveness, and responsibility
• physical endurance, readiness to learn and work with the latest equipment
• technical or chemistry education is desirable

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen after mandatory selection procedures
• service in the combat zone
• career and position growth
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks performed
• guaranteed annual main leave of 30 days + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
• provision of uniforms and personal protective equipment
• provision of full meals
