Head of NBC Protection Service
Overview
The 109th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" is constantly working to raise the qualifications and professional level of its service members and is introducing modern technologies. The unit has gained invaluable combat experience, taking an active part in difficult operations in eastern Ukraine. Its service members have shown a high level of professionalism, courage, and dedication that has enabled them to successfully carry out their assigned missions. Over the years of service, the battalion's fighters have received numerous state awards and distinctions for the courage and heroism they displayed in carrying out combat missions. They have repeatedly been recognized at the state level for their contribution to defending the country.
Responsibilities:
- organizing and ensuring the radiation, chemical, and biological protection of unit personnel
- developing and implementing RCB protection plans
- monitoring the condition and readiness of individual and collective protective equipment
- conducting classes and briefings with personnel on RCB (radiation, chemical, biological) protection
- organizing and conducting measures to eliminate the consequences of radiation, chemical, and biological contamination
- coordinating with other units and services on CBRN defense matters
- maintaining accounting and reporting on the CBRN defense service's activities
Requirements:
- higher military education (bachelor's, specialist's, or master's degree) in a field related to CBRN protection, or other higher education with relevant retraining
- officer's rank
- possession of a category B driver's license (category C preferred as well), vehicle driving experience
- experience working in RCB (radiation, chemical, biological) protection or the military field, particularly in organizing and providing RCB protection, preferred
- readiness to perform tasks in the unit's combat operations area
- high level of responsibility and organizational skills
- knowledge of the regulatory framework on CBRN protection
- ability to work with CBRN protection equipment and instruments
- analytical mindset and ability to forecast situations
- stress resilience and ability to make decisions in critical situations
- sociability and ability to work in a team
- readiness to work under conditions of heightened danger
Conditions:
- direct mobilization into the military unit without involvement of the TCC until the end of martial law or contract service
