Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• keeping weapons in constant readiness
• continuous observation of enemy aircraft, timely detection, identification, and destruction of aerial targets on command or independently
• destroying enemy aerial targets
• skillfully using the terrain, correctly selecting and equipping a starting position for firing

Requirements:

• knowledge of weapon design and firing rules
• knowledge of the main characteristics, identification marks, and tactical methods of employment of enemy and friendly aircraft and helicopters
• secondary education
• military service experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
