EW Operator
Overview
The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.
Responsibilities:
- analyzing and detecting radio-electronic signals of enemy systems
- setting up, maintaining, and operating EW equipment to suppress or jam signals
- electronic suppression of various types of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles
- promptly detecting and countering other enemy assets
- coordinating with other units to ensure effective electronic warfare
- evaluating the effectiveness of EW application and making adjustments
- keeping EW equipment operational and configuring it according to the mission's conditions
Requirements:
- vocational secondary or higher technical education in electronics, radio engineering, or communications
- experience working with radio-electronic equipment or in the communications field will be an advantage
- understanding of the operating principles of radio-electronic systems and EW equipment
- high level of analytical ability, attention to detail, ability to work in a team
- ability to respond quickly and make decisions in stressful situations
- desire to learn and improve one's knowledge in the field of EW
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
- social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
- guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
- support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
- processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
