Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• engaging enemy personnel and equipment with a mounted grenade launcher, providing fire cover for units
• monitoring compliance with safety requirements and rules while performing tasks
• ensuring interaction with other units while carrying out combat missions
• careful attitude toward issued weapons
• participating in training and exercises to maintain and improve skills
• continuous maintenance of weapons in combat readiness

Requirements:

• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• readiness to perform tasks in the combat operations area
• responsibility and attentiveness to the details of assigned tasks
• a drive to achieve success in accomplishing assigned tasks and a results-oriented mindset
• practical experience operating or maintaining a mounted grenade launcher will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
