Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• carrying out combat missions as part of a mortar crew
• aiming the mortar at the target for firing
• working with the sight, compass, and military software
• keeping personal and issued weapons, their mechanisms, ammunition, sight, compass, and plotting board serviceable and combat-ready
• acquiring and maintaining a high level of fire and professional training, continuously improving acquired skills
• compliance with the requirements of the regulations and military discipline

Requirements:

• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
• secondary, vocational secondary, or higher education
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance
• responsibility, attentiveness, and ability to make quick decisions
• ability to work in a team

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
