System Administrator

Overview

The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This vacancy is for service in one of the brigade's units, not at the front line.

Responsibilities:

• administering IT infrastructure (servers, networks, PCs)
• installing, updating, and configuring specialized software systems according to the unit's tasks
• managing information security systems, including installing and configuring VPNs for secure connections
• providing technical support to users, advising on equipment and programs
• installation work laying local area network cabling, working with fiber optics
• working with radio relay stations (Wi-Fi bridges)

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a system administrator
• skills in working with network equipment and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and VPN networks
• basic-level experience administering Windows/Linux operating systems (installation, initial setup, software installation, security policy configuration, troubleshooting)
• experience servicing computer equipment, diagnostics, selection, and replacement of parts

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• service in the combat area on the eastern axis, but NOT on the line of contact
• service in comfortable conditions with the necessary equipment provided
• accommodation is provided
• three meals a day on-site at state expense
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on place of service
• guaranteed annual main leave + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
• free treatment and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat
• social protection and guaranteed life insurance
• guidance during the Regional TCC and Military Medical Commission stage, ensuring enlistment specifically in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
