Deputy Company Commander for Morale and Psychological Support

Overview

The "Zli Sapsany" ("Angry Peregrines") Unmanned Systems Battalion of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozky is an unmanned systems formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The battalion has taken part in combat operations in the Donetsk and Kharkiv regions and continues to carry out combat missions and liberate Ukrainian territory from the enemy. The battalion's command has extensive experience in combat operations against the enemy. The unit carries out missions of any complexity, and its commanders are experienced and motivated.

Responsibilities:

• developing the company's class schedule, planning and conducting morale and psychological support measures for training and combat operations
• ensuring the execution of the company commander's decisions
• studying and analyzing the individual psychological qualities of servicemen and the socio-psychological climate in the company
• evaluating the moral-psychological state of personnel, analyzing results, and providing the company commander with substantiated proposals for its improvement
• assisting platoon commanders and sergeants in building team cohesion
• fostering a responsible attitude toward military duty, loyalty to the Military Oath, adherence to military traditions, and readiness to carry out missions
• supporting unit cohesion and compliance with the Constitution of Ukraine, the laws of Ukraine, military regulations, and commanders' orders
• social and psychological adaptation of servicemen to service conditions, taking into account their specialty and characteristics
• teaching officers and sergeants the basics of military pedagogy and psychology, providing methodological support in working with personnel, developing leadership skills
• organizing the psychological training of personnel, increasing the psychological resilience of service members
• providing first psychological aid, referring individuals with signs of negative psychological reactions to a psychological aid center and further follow-up
• providing recommendations to the company commander on measures for psychological recovery of service members
• supporting the material and living conditions of subordinates, their social and legal protection, and liaising with servicemen's families
• organizing internal communication to build trust in command, ensuring feedback, and protecting against information-psychological influence
• fostering a culture of conflict-free communication and non-violent problem-solving
• drafting proposals for disciplinary measures against servicemen, analyzing their behavior and mental state
• initiating recommendations for awards and commendations for servicemen for professionalism and courage
• organizing cultural recreation activities for personnel
• implementing best practices in psychological support, improving methods of working with personnel, upgrading one's own qualifications
• informing the company commander and the battalion deputy commander for psychological support about the morale and psychological state of personnel

Requirements:

• specialized education at bachelor's level or higher in "Psychology" or "Sociology"
• confident user-level proficiency in computers, Word, Excel
• fitness for military service by state of health
• willingness to constantly learn and develop
• a certificate from a narcologist, psychiatrist, and a certificate of no criminal record
• proficiency in business Ukrainian
• experience in sociology preferred (developing and conducting personnel surveys, summarizing the data obtained)
