Sapper-Engineer Platoon Commander

Overview

The 21st Separate Special Purpose Battalion is part of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Ground Forces, based in Kyiv. The battalion successfully carries out special purpose missions in the east of the country. This is a modern battalion with no trace of the Soviet Union. This is exactly the battalion where civilian youth and qualified specialists will be engaged wherever their skills and knowledge are needed. This is the battalion where, if you wish, you can learn, grow, and improve at the best training centers in Ukraine and abroad, in the widest variety of military professions! Trust and respect are the foundation of a successful team, and this is the unit's priority. All that is required of you is the desire to destroy the enemy, defend the Motherland, and bring our victory closer!

Responsibilities:

• compliance with military discipline
• carrying out combat missions and commanding the platoon
• organizing passages through the enemy's mined zones
• eliminating explosive objects
• search for and clearance of mines, explosive devices, and other hazardous objects
• participating in engineering work, setting up and clearing obstacles
• responsibility for locating, clearing, and neutralizing explosives
• mining and demolishing various objects or infrastructure to block further enemy movement

Requirements:

• age 25 to 45, but exceptions are possible
• possession of an officer's rank
• leadership qualities and well-developed communication skills
• attentiveness and quick reaction to changes in the situation
• ability to interact with fellow soldiers
• having basic physical fitness
• a high level of motivation and stress resistance

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• decent monetary allowance of up to 130,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task, place of service, and position
