Overview

The 17th Separate Heavy Mechanized Kryvyi Rih Brigade is a formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From 2014 to the present, it has taken an active part in the war against the occupiers. The brigade has fought for Sloviansk, Ilovaisk, and Debaltseve, and defended Mariupol. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the unit carried out missions in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

• controlling multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles to carry out reconnaissance and combat missions
• carrying out tasks of observation, gathering intelligence, and adjusting fire using drones
• preparing and configuring the UAV before each mission, checking all systems and parameters
• monitoring and controlling UAV flight, quickly responding to changing situations and adjusting the flight path
• working together with other military units to carry out tasks at the front
• maintaining technical documentation and reporting on completed missions

Requirements:

• knowledge of UAV technical specifications and the ability to respond quickly to malfunctions
• ability to work with communications, navigation, and surveillance systems
• a high level of stress resistance and the ability to work under combat operation conditions
• responsibility, attentiveness to detail, and ability to work in a team
• training to work in various geographic and climatic conditions
• ability to quickly make decisions in changing conditions

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 23,000 to 123,000 hryvnias depending on tasks and orders performed
• social guarantees, provision of gear and necessary equipment
• guaranteed annual main leave (2 parts of 15 days each) and the possibility of additional leave for family circumstances
• support in a friendly team of motivated, active, proactive soldiers and reasonable commanders
• processing of Combat Veteran status and other benefits
