UAV Master Technician/Munitions Engineer
Overview
The 25th Separate Assault Battalion is a unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, formed in 2022 in response to the large-scale russian invasion. The unit's main task is conducting assault operations to liberate and hold territory. The battalion consists of several assault companies, a strike unmanned aerial systems company, and other support units. The unit is equipped with modern equipment, including "Kozak" armored vehicles and "Bradley" infantry fighting vehicles.
In June 2023, the battalion took part in fighting in Zaporizhzhia, where it faced off against the 291st russian special forces battalion. From late October 2023 to February 2024, the fighters of the 25th Battalion defended the Avdiivka Coke Plant. After four months of defense, they were the last to leave the plant without losses, successfully repelling numerous enemy attacks.
Responsibilities:
- assembling, configuring, and upgrading unmanned aerial vehicles
- integrating engineering munitions with UAVs
- diagnosing and repairing electronic and mechanical components
- testing UAVs and preparing them for mission execution
- coordinating with UAV operators to configure equipment for specific tasks
- compliance with safety rules when working with explosives and electronic systems
- participating in developing and improving technical solutions to improve UAV effectiveness
Requirements:
- at least 1 year of experience working with UAVs (repair, assembly, upgrading) will be an advantage
- technical education (engineering, radio electronics, aviation technology) will be an advantage
- knowledge of the principles of aerodynamics, electronics, and the operation of navigation systems
- skills in handling explosives or engineering munitions (relevant clearances are desirable)
- ability to work with tools for assembling and soldering electronic components
- analytical thinking, responsibility, attention to detail
Conditions:
- mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
- possibility of transferring current servicemen
- monetary allowance from 20,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and region of work
