Self-Propelled Gun Commander

Overview

The 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade is a military formation of the artillery forces of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The brigade is armed with 2S7 "Pion" and PzH 2000 howitzers. The unit took an active part in the liberation of the Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, and is now helping to contain enemy pressure in key sectors of the front. By decree of the President of Ukraine, the brigade was awarded the honorary distinction "For Courage and Valor."

Responsibilities:

• managing the artillery crew's work during training and combat operations
• using and operating assigned weapons, equipment, special technical devices, and other entrusted property, monitoring their technical condition, preservation, and maintenance to ensure combat readiness
• carrying out combat missions as part of an artillery unit and coordinating actions in combat conditions
• determining target coordinates using modern targeting systems and adjusting artillery fire
• planning and conducting personnel training to improve combat readiness
• acquiring and maintaining a high level of fire and professional training, continuously improving acquired skills both independently and at training centers
• supporting and developing team spirit and unit cohesion

Requirements:

• fitness for service by state of health and moral qualities
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• desire to study new weapon systems and confidently operate them
• motivation to learn, improve, and work
• responsibility, stress resilience, and ability to make quick and well-founded decisions
• developed leadership qualities
• developed communication skills
• readiness to comply with strict discipline requirements in everyday life and in combat operations, follow commanders' orders, and show reasonable initiative in carrying out assigned tasks
• no alcohol, drug, or gambling dependencies
• having combat experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• monetary allowance from 23,000 to 60,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
