Overview

The 143rd Separate Mechanized Brigade is a formation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine based in Chernihiv region. The brigade is part of the "North" Operational Command. The unit was formed around a team with combat experience in various sectors of the front. In the 143rd Brigade, the position of Sergeant Major is the main link between command and personnel. He is responsible for discipline, combat readiness, the unit's morale, and the uninterrupted execution of tasks in the combat zone or during training. "It's not rank that leads — it's authority!"

Responsibilities:

• managing the platoon's combat operations in various scenarios, ensuring task execution, monitoring the situation's development, and making operational decisions
• participating in developing and executing strategies and tactics
• providing help and support during missions, resolving problem situations, motivating and supporting troops in difficult conditions
• maintaining a high level of professional knowledge, skills, and abilities, and working to improve them
• managing the unit's combat operations, ensuring task execution

Requirements:

• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• ability to work in a team and perform tasks in a high-performance environment
• knowledge of procedures and safety rules when working with firearms
• responsibility and discipline
• leadership qualities
• military service experience will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• possibility of service for candidates who, per the Military Medical Commission's findings, are fit for service in support units, TCC and SP, military educational institutions, training centers, etc.
