GIS Specialist

Overview

The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade is a mechanized forces formation within the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. A GIS Specialist will create orthophoto maps from captured photos and videos and work at the intersection of data analysis, visualization, and cartography.

Responsibilities:

• creating orthophoto maps of new territories
• supplementing existing orthophoto maps with new imagery
• creating 3D models based on photo and video materials

Requirements:

• experience creating orthophoto maps (a portfolio is mandatory)
• ability to work for extended periods at a screen without a change of environment
• thoroughness in identifying details
• confident computer proficiency, civilian experience working with computers
• ability to work with a map will be an advantage

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• service in the combat area on the eastern axis, but not on the line of contact
• work in comfortable conditions with the necessary equipment and tools provided
• provision of accommodation and meals
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias (depending on place of service)
• guaranteed annual main leave + additional 10-day leave for family circumstances
• free treatment and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat
• social protection and guaranteed life insurance
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• guidance during the Regional TCC and Military Medical Commission stage, ensuring enlistment specifically in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade
