External Pilot/UAV Operator

Overview

The "BULAVA" ("Mace") UAV Battalion is a combat unit of the legendary 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians, which has been growing and scaling up for the third year now. The unit operates in a way that always achieves its goals while preserving what matters most — human life. In 2023-2024, its soldiers struck the enemy near Vuhledar and then in the Kherson region. The unit is currently holding the line in the Pokrovsk sector. Here, they get the job done, and they do it well. Both the brigade and the unit are priority units, so enlistment goes straight into the battalion! Responsibilities:

  • preparing UAVs for flights, checking equipment before launch
  • controlling UAVs during reconnaissance and monitoring missions
  • destroying the enemy using strike drones (drops from quadcopters and hexacopters, FPV engagement)
  • carrying out remote mining of enemy approach routes using UAVs

Requirements:

  • secondary, vocational secondary/higher education
  • experience piloting UAVs will be an advantage
  • ability to work with mobile applications and electronic devices
  • fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities
  • a high level of self-discipline
  • attentiveness, responsibility, and ability to make quick decisions
  • readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
  • ability to work in a team

Conditions:

  • mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
  • possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
  • monetary allowance in accordance with current legislation
  • guaranteed annual main leave of 30 days + additional leave for family circumstances + additional leave days for destroyed enemy equipment
  • training from basic skills to expert level
