Mortar Crew Member

Overview

The 2nd Mechanized Battalion is part of the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade. The unit took part in the defense of Ukraine in the Serebrianskyi forestry, Chasiv Yar, Ocheretyne, and Kupiansk. The unit's service members are fully provided for. This vacancy is for service in the mortar battery. The unit is looking for conscientious and motivated citizens who are ready to learn, grow, and together liberate the territories of Ukraine from the russian occupiers.

Responsibilities:

• preparing and servicing the mortar and ammunition for combat use, and bringing up ammunition for firing
• keeping personal and issued weapons, their mechanisms, and ammunition serviceable and combat-ready
• clearly carrying out combat missions as part of the unit
• continuous improvement of one's professional skills
• setting up fortifications and camouflage

Requirements:

• readiness to learn and pursue professional development
• military training preferred
• readiness to work in the zone of active combat operations
• fitness for military service by state of health and moral-psychological qualities

Conditions:

• mobilization until the end of martial law or contract service
• possibility of transferring current servicemen with the direct commander's consent
• training and preparation in the use of the mortar and its equipment
• provision of uniforms, personal protective equipment, and full meals
• the prospect of career growth and the development of leadership skills
• annual main leave of 30 days
• monetary allowance from 50,000 to 120,000 hryvnias depending on the assigned task and place of service
• free treatment and financial compensation for injuries sustained in combat
• timely combat payments, processing of Combat Veteran status, and help resolving other issues
