10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade “Edelweiss”







We are those who walk through fire and steel, stronger than rock.
Our history began on October 1, 2015. From the very first days, the “Edelweiss” fighters have proven: we are a force that changes the course of battle.

Our combat achievements:

  • the defense of Bakhmut, fighting near Spirne, Vesele, and Mykolaivka;
  • the liberation of Novooleksandrivka and Katerynivka;
  • the heroic defense of Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Popasna, New York, and Toretsk;
  • the liberation of 16 settlements in the Kyiv region and 4 in the Kharkiv region.

    • Destroyed:
  • 130 enemy tanks;
  • 409 artillery systems;
  • 387 UAVs;
  • 9 aircraft;
  • 5,777 killed;
  • 8,025 wounded.

    • We are the only brigade in the Armed Forces of Ukraine where every battalion has its own combat flag.
    In 2023, our brigade received the honorary title “Edelweiss” – a symbol of endurance, courage, and unbreakability.
    On May 5, 2023, the President of Ukraine awarded us the honorary distinction “For Courage and Valor.”
