The Military Academy (Odesa) is one of Ukraine's leading military higher education institutions, training officers for the new Ukrainian army: those who analyze the situation, plan operations, and make decisions on the battlefield. Training combines theory with practice, field exercises, and work with modern weapons and equipment.

The Academy offers 14 training tracks, a significant portion of which are oriented toward the needs of the Ground Forces. In particular, these are specialties in the fields of missile and artillery weaponry, operation and technical support of military equipment, and military logistics — fields that directly affect the effectiveness of combat operations.

Also important are the reconnaissance and information-analytical support tracks, where specialists are trained to work with data, drones, and electronic warfare equipment, as well as training commanders within the strategy and tactics of combat operations — for airborne assault troops, marine infantry, and Special Operations Forces units.

Cadets receive full state support, gain practical service skills, and after completing their studies receive the rank of lieutenant and begin service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
