33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade
The 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade (33 OMBr) is a formation of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Formed in April 2016. Initially the brigade was a cadre unit, but after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, it was fully deployed. In 2023, the brigade took part in fighting in the Zaporizhzhia direction, including in the area of the settlements of Mala Tokmachka, Orikhove, and Verbove. In 2024, it fought near Kurakhove, where it distinguished itself by repelling an enemy armored assault.

The brigade's sleeve patch features a sword and a skull, symbolizing its fighting spirit and readiness for battle. The brigade's motto is "Forward to victory." In 2024, a solemn swearing-in ceremony was held at the front for recruits who had completed military training and become full members of the brigade.
