The regiment was formed in 2022 amid full-scale war, with the aim of strengthening the assault capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the start of the war, the 425th Regiment has taken part in numerous operations in various directions, earning a reputation as an effective and reliable unit.

The regiment has a typical organizational structure for an assault unit:

technical and logistics support.

The 425th Regiment's weapons include:

The 425th Assault Regiment is not just a military unit but a strong combat community that has developed its own traditions to sustain fighting spirit, cohesion, and effectiveness under difficult combat conditions.

Honoring the memory of fallen comrades is one of the regiment's most important traditions.

Every fallen soldier is honored during special ceremonies, as well as in the unit's everyday life through moments of silence before combat missions begin.

This remembrance unites the soldiers and serves as a reminder of the high price they pay for Ukraine's freedom.

Fighting spirit and cohesion are sustained through regular joint gatherings, where both tactical issues and everyday matters are discussed.

Informal meetings, humor, and mutual support among comrades help relieve tension and improve the team's morale.

Emphasis on mutual aid and trust — the regiment cultivates a culture where every soldier feels like an important part of the common cause.

Supporting comrades in difficult situations is one of the core values that contributes to effectiveness in combat.

Continuous training and exchange of experience is another key tradition.

The regiment constantly organizes training sessions, training gatherings, and after-action reviews, which help improve professionalism and adapt to the changing conditions of war.

Rituals and symbolism — the regiment has its own symbols, emblems, and initiation rituals for new soldiers, which strengthen the sense of belonging and pride in serving in the 425th Assault Regiment.
