47th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Magura"
The 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade is an important unit of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specializing in mechanized combat operations, combining infantry with armored vehicles and artillery.
The brigade carries out missions of defense, offense, holding territory, and supporting other units.
The 47th Brigade was formed in 2016 in response to the need to strengthen Ukraine's defense forces after the start of the war in the east.
It took an active part in operations in the JFO (Joint Forces Operation) zone in Donbas, carrying out missions to hold positions, conduct counteroffensives, and reconnaissance.
During Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, the brigade demonstrated high combat readiness and courage, taking part in repelling enemy attacks in various directions.
For its combat merits, the 47th Mechanized Brigade received awards and citations from the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
